+ Direct and supervise all operations for the East Course related to golf course maintenance including:
   fungicide and fertility programs, chemical applications, budgeting and purchasing, and equipment maintenance

+ Integral in the superb conditioning of the golf course on a daily basis

+ Develop and continually improve the monitoring and scheduling of irrigation to ensure efficient water use,
   only providing water where required

+ Provide innovative and practical ideas for capital improvements

+ Critically involved with all recruitment, selection, and supervision of staff for the course

+ Prepare course for major club events and annual qualifying for 1st stage of US Open

CHAMPION COURSE GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT  -  2007-2010

 

Originally designed by Tom and George Fazio for major tournament play, The Champion course
at PGA National Resort & Spa was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1990 and now hosts the Honda
Classic each March on the PGA Tour.

 

+ Directed and supervised all operations for the Champion Course

+ Actively coordinated with PGA Tour officials to ready the course for major PGA events

+ Integral in staff management for the course; interphased with over 90 total employees

EDUCATIONAL INTERNSHIP  -  2002-2003

 

Golfing community that features two courses, Talon and Aerie, designed by Jack Nicklaus
and Gary Player, respectively. Twin Eagles has played host to a number of professional
tournaments including the ACE Group Classic, a PGA Champions Tour event.

 

+ Performed as Acting Golf Course Superintendent during two seasons, 2004 and 2006, which in
   2006 included managing the construction of the new Aerie course

+ Organized and managed all aspects of the golf course maintenance operation for both golf courses

+ Directly involved with the construction and grow-in of the Aerie course, including the grow-in of Sea
   Dwarf Paspalum

+ Developed a solid approach of maintaining conditions at Talon course while working with project
   manager and construction companies with the new Aerie course

+ Prepared the course and participated in tournament conditioning for the ACE Group Classic event
   of the PGA Champions Tour
